Who can volunteer?

In order to be apart of SEA LIFE Sydney's Volunteering program you must: 

  • Be at least 18 years of age 
  • Able to commit to one day per week (Monday - Friday), for a period of 6 months
  • Currently enrolled in a tertiary science-based education course (TAFE or University) 
  • Able to work between 7:30am - 4pm
  • Be physically fit, healthy and able to lift up to 20kgs

Student Volunteering Application Form

Please enter your first and last name
Please enter your emergency contact's full name and number
Please provide two referees. If possible they should be previous work or volunteer related references. Include name, contact number, position and company.
If accepted into our volunteer program, you must be reliable for one day a week (7:30am-4:00pm), for a minimum duration of six months. Please indicate which day you would be available and when you would be able to start.

Please include any courses such as biology and zookeeper courses, and any certifications you may have, such as a PADI certificate, current first aid certificate
If yes, please indicate the name of the course, the institution and predicted conclusion.
If yes, please list where and in what capacity.
If yes, please list where and in what capacity.
For example allergies, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, back pain, etc

Join Ocean Youth
Ocean Youth (OY) is about building tomorrow’s leaders and change makers to conserve and protect our oceans.

This program is aimed at high school aged students and gives participants the opportunity to learn valuable skills and knowledge that are transportable into any workplace. We see it as a capacity building program for young people who are passionate about conservation, sustainability and creating or adopting innovative solutions to some of the big issues.
