These majestic and delicate creatures have quite an interesting name that was given to them because their heads look like a...horse! Discover 6 of most interesting facts about seahorses

1. Babies!!
   Seahorses babies are called fry! 
   
   
2. Go Dad
   It is the male seahorse that gives birth to the live baby seahorses, not the female
   
   
3. Like a Vacuum! 
   Seahorses have no teeth, instead they have little snouts which they use to suck up small plankton just like a vacuum
   
   
4. Crazy Eyes! 
   Seahorses can move their eyes interdependently. This helps them to spot their food, before they suck it up!
   
   
5. It's go time!
   Seahorses swim using a small fin on their back that flutters up to 35 times per second. The smaller pectoral fins located near the back of their heads help them to steer.
   
   
6. Love is in the air
   Seahorses are monogamous and mate for life. When seahorses meet a partner they perform a courtship dance by swimming around each other, spinning, holding tails and changing colour
